When I took my Handstitched class last year, I needed something to carry my supplies around in. You know, needlebook, thread, scissors, etc. So I grabbed what was handy, a ziploc bag and ran with that. Which works...unless you leave it our near a cat who enjoys eating plastic. Or want to put scissors in it. You know, crazy stuff.
So when Rachel linked to this drawstring bag tutorial, I knew I needed to make one. But with the holidays and trying to finish up my quilts which had deadlines, I just didn't get a chance.
Which is why when the hubby had some friends over for a game night and I found myself with a luxuriously free evening in my craft room, I started cutting 2" squares and playing with layouts. It took me a couple weeks but I am thrilled with the final result. Every time I see this thing, I start grinning all over again. George approves as well.
Okay - you know I already obsess over so much of your sewing/quilting/crafting projects but this one may be my favorite so far.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I am super proud of this bag. It's one of the first projects where I look at it and think "aw yea!" instead of "I like this, but that could have been better.". : )
