In the evenings, our little household congregates in the Rec Room. It is one of only 3 rooms in the house to be functionally furnished (the others being the kitchen and the bedroom), so it is the natural choice. It also means that it is not uncommon for every light in the house to be off--except for the Rec Room. I love returning from the kitchen or the bathroom, seeing the light down the hall, a glowing beacon of family. Just like this post, that light marks both the beginning and the end.
