Today the hubby and I drove (into the country and over the river) to the one store that came up when I searched for wicker in Huntsville. I had been leary of making the trek because their website offered only a few sample pictures, none showing indoor wicker. But I got the push I needed when a coworker recommended the same town as the "wicker capital". And, thanks be all that is good, we found a wicker set. One that is comfortable, durable, not made of plastic, and should last us for a very long time. This picture shows the couch and the swivel chair. We also bought a chair that does not rock (which you can see here. In a stroke of super luck, the side wicker is actually two toned, a lovely caramel color and the darker brown. Which makes it a brilliant match for our valances. We are having our set upholstered in a lovely green which should provide a nice pop of color without detracting from our beautiful trees. Our set will arrive in about a month. Until then, we plot! We are still looking for side/coffee tables, a rug, maybe a bench, etc, etc. Then comes the really fun part! All the little decor-y touches. : )
