This weekend is a long weekend in the States, with Monday being a Federal holiday. So the hubby and I, being proud homeowners and all, are celebrating by doing that which homeowners do--the obligatory long weekend home improvement project. Or, in our case, restaining the deck. (Try to contain your jealousy). The hubby sanded down the rough spots yesterday so today we applied the first coat of stain. Isn't it amazing how worn out and beat down a deck can get in a year?
