Tonight, while getting started on dinner, I looked up and saw this little one watching me. Two more deer are back in the bushes (not that you can really tell here) and they stayed for a good 10-15 minutes, just hanging out. The one nearest the house would wag his tail, look back at the others, look at me, and wag his tail again. This after this morning when I looked up to see a cardinal sitting on our deck railing, right in front of me, a breathtaking dash of red against the green. I absolutely adore all the wildlife we get to keep company with out here. : )
