Lately, I've been trying to start a list of all the things in the house that I know need to get fixed so we can start assessing what needs to be done when and how much it might cost. There's the gaping front door, the rotting shutters, the drafty windows, the weathering deck, and the cracked kitchen tile. This is the worst tile, but it's not the only cracked one and several others shift when you place your weight on them. Someday, we'd like to replace the tile with a stone floor. Until then, I am keeping an eye on these guys to see if we'll need to employ a stopgap measure.

Day 275/365--Cracked

There's always something and it seems like there's always a few somethings at once. We just fixed our pool pump, we need a new fence, we just discovered why the previous residents had a water softener, and we really need a standby generator for the drainage pump outside so that our house doesn't flood. Sigh...
