Tonight my hubby headed over to a friend's house for video games and pizza and puppy time. Left to my own devices I reveled in the silence and took over the kitchen. I happily lost myself in flour and sugar and the steady sounds of the mixer for hours. Finally, tired but content, I finished my last few tasks, wiped down the counters, shut off the lights. But I left one on. A bit of love and warmth to welcome the hubby home.
