The cats are long since accustomed to the stairs. They zip up them quite happily now, waiting until we are halfway up the stairs, and committed to making the trip before they race past us to meet us at the top. But they are smart enough to be lazy about it. If we are traipsing up and down the stairs, they will find a spot and watch us carefully to see where we are going to stop. After all, just because we can't make up our minds doesn't mean they need to climb the stairs once more than is necessary.

Day 259/365--Downstairs
The cats are long since accustomed to the stairs. They zip up them quite happily now, waiting until we are halfway up the stairs, and committed to making the trip before they race past us to meet us at the top. But they are smart enough to be lazy about it. If we are traipsing up and down the stairs, they will find a spot and watch us carefully to see where we are going to stop. After all, just because we can't make up our minds doesn't mean they need to climb the stairs once more than is necessary.
