The first full day of Daylight Savings. The house was unusually dark when I wore up this morning. Outside, the gray was cooler, calmer than it has been for several months. Sitting on the couch with my laptop, my morning ritual--blogs, webcomics, life. I look up and realize I can't see down the hall. I grab my camera and snap a picture. A half an hour later, the sun has come to life. Light streams in the windows, the hall full of reflected light. Soon, but not soon enough, my days will be saturated in sunlight. This is the last gasp of winter's schedule, clinging to the predawn.
