Of late we have had a lady bug infestation in our master bath. Okay, I'm not sure that 5 ladybugs is technically an "infestation" but they just appeared, all together, this week. They've been happily crawling around the ceiling, hanging out in the soaking tub, wandering the walls. But they have also been mostly staying out of the way, and as they are ladybugs, I figured, what the heck and left them alone. (I cannot say the same for the cats, who think they are fascinating new toys whenever they come within reach.)
However, this morning, while I was in the shower, one of the ladybugs decided to launch him/herself right at my head. While I was in the shower. We have a walk in shower. A fairly small walk in shower. Without any real way to escape ladybugs who fling themselves at you unexpectedly. There was some contorting. And some frantic waving. And even a flinging open of the shower door. Eventually the ladybug settled down into a corner and I finished my shower, keeping one eye on the crazy bug.
We still have 3 ladybugs roaming the ceiling (including the one that made a run at me this morning). I'm hoping that this time, they will stay there. Or perhaps they will wander off of their own accord. Whatever they do, I hope they don't bring more friends to join them.
*shivers* As pretty as they can be, I'm not a fan of ladybugs in any "bulk" capacity. I probably would have screamed if one came diving at my head.
