Day 6/365--Touchstone

I am attempting a 365 day photo project called "Around the House" for photos of the house and all things in it. Each day I take a photo of something and make a brief post here about the image.



I've always been a sucker for how things feel in my hands--smooth river rocks, cool porcelain, items that fit neatly in the crook of my hand...so even though we haven't even been here a week, I've already developed a habit I know will stick. I always grab hold of this banister as I head downstairs. It fits just right in my palm and the smooth finish makes it fun to swivel around.
