Success

One of the things I love about quotes is how they often very neatly tie up something you have been thinking in a very clear and concise way. A few years ago, when my husband and I were planning our wedding I spent some time looking up love quotes to add to our programs and things. This one by Mignon McLaughlin really stuck with me, so it's no real surprise it showed up in the first round of my quotable ACEOs.



It reads: "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person".

I think that really captures both the challenge and the joy of a "real" marriage. So many story books end with riding off into the sunset. In real life though, growth and life continue after the rice and the roses. The trick is growing together, staying connected, and remembering to bring home Zen Party mix when you do the grocery shopping. ; )
