As a community of online sellers, Etsy is commonly abuzz with talk of how to use the internet to reach new markets, find your audience, and promote. Myspace, indiefinds, flickr, squidoo, talent database and approximately a million other sites allow you to get other and there are many strategies on how to use them effectively and where to spend your time.
However, what many digital sellers underestimate is the power of being (almost) famous in your own home town. Local art shows and craft fairs can provide a great way to connect with your customers and sell your wares but promoting yourself goes deeper than just that.
