I'm feeling a bit woozy right now, so the photos sitting on my camera waiting to be uploaded will have to wait a bit longer. However, I did want to quickly pass along word of something really neat I found out about today: Etsy Tools.
Apparently, due to something called an API, the information that Etsy uses to run features like the Time Machine is available to the public. (That's all fairy dust and rainbow sparkles to me). Anyway, an etsy user who is choosing to remain anonymous, has established a website taking that information and turning it into lists and charts.
Ever wondered who the top seller on etsy is? Want to know what time of day the most items are sold? It's all there. They are even planning on adding a "local sellers" function to find people by zip code. That is a huge boon for those who are interested in creating local street teams or finding sellers to share booth space with.
From the sounds of things, it's a lovely etsy seller and her ever-patient boyfriend who are setting this all up. I've added a link to the page in my sidebar (under Place to Go, on the left) so you can always come back here to find it later.
I've seen this noted somewhere else recently - although I didn't know the background. Hmmm, interesting - thanks for posting it up!
