Hooray! The first of my thank you cards went up into the shop tonight. (Can you tell I was burned out on homework and needed a break? I sure could!) I love, love, love the way these turned out. The "stem" of the flower is made from a unique stamp I found. What I really like about it is that the "thank you" is very subtle. It's there for the people who think that a thank you card should say thank you, but it's not obnoxious. Plus the swirly stem just makes the whole thing a bit playful and fun. : ) This set has a pink flower, a blue flower, and a purple flower. I want to make some more, but I *should* wait until this weekend, as I have things that are already made that I should be listing. And using the time that I save to actually, you know, do my homework. ; )
I think that my thank you cards will prove to be more popular than my correspondence cards have been because they come imbued with purpose. You know exactly when you are supposed to send it! I certainly send more cards as thank you cards than anything else. Of course, I still send handwritten thank you notes, so maybe I'm just out-of-touch with my own generation. ; )
