First of all, the etsy site will be coming out of beta this weekend. Which means etsy will be down Nov 4-5th. This is a temporary inconvenience that means all sorts of cool new features. Buyers will now have a "shopping cart" that allows them to buy multiple items at once and stores will be given categories, which will make finding for a particular type of item within a store much easier. You will also be able to search within a single seller's store based on key words. And much, much more. You can read about the nitty-gritty details over here, in the etsy blog.
Secondly, due to the increased fees associated with V2, as well as the realization that my prices were too low to allow me to participate in craft shows, my prices will be increasing on Nov 6th. They won't be massive increases, but they will be going up.
Finally, I got a very exciting package in the mail today...my pin-back buttons from super-etsian ChristineRenee. There are two types of buttons...the first are simple logo buttons for store promotions. The second are hand-drawn and colored dragonlings. Dragonlings are teeny-tiny dragons (they are depicted at about half-scale on 1" buttons) who zip around leading their own, very busy lives. Each one is an individual with unique coloring, name, likes, and dislikes. Each dragonling will has a button devoted just to them, which will come attached with a card that gives their name and a brief overview of their likes and dislikes. These little guys can act as helpers, muses, guardians, and friends. However, they love good-natured mischief and will often sneak off if not watched. They will be available in the shop beginning sometime this week.
